Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what ReelTemps (“we”, “us”) collects and how we use it. We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service.
1. What we collect
- Account information: your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile Google shares (name, email, avatar). Authentication is handled by Supabase.
- Payment information: processed by Stripe. We receive a customer and subscription reference and status; we do not see or store your full card number.
- Preferences and settings: such as your units, GPS format, and favorite regions, stored in your browser (localStorage) and, where applicable, with your account.
- Basic technical and usage data: standard server and hosting logs (for example IP address, approximate country, and request info), and basic usage events such as which pages and chart regions are viewed — used to keep the Service secure and reliable and to understand how it is used.
2. How we use it
- To create and manage your account and membership.
- To provide, secure, and improve the Service, including understanding how it is used.
- To process payments and prevent fraud (via Stripe).
- To contact you about your account, billing, or support requests.
3. Service providers
We share limited data with providers who run parts of the Service on our behalf: Supabase (authentication, database, storage), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting). They process data under their own terms and only to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. When we run ad campaigns we also use analytics and advertising cookies, described in "Analytics and advertising" below.
5. Analytics and advertising
When we run advertising campaigns, we use measurement tags from Meta (Facebook) and Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) to understand how people find ReelTemps and whether our ads are working. These tags may set their own cookies and collect your IP address, device and browser information, the pages you view, and actions such as starting a signup or completing a purchase. For a purchase we may also send a hashed, irreversible copy of your email to these platforms so the conversion can be matched, and we store basic campaign information (such as utm tags and Google or Meta click identifiers) with your account to attribute signups.
We do not sell your personal information. You can opt out of ad personalization at Google (adssettings.google.com) and Meta (in your Facebook ad preferences), and you can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time. Where required by law, we honor applicable opt-out signals.
6. Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal or accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your account (see below); some records may be retained where required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
