band

Fixed range. The same color means the same temperature everywhere, so you can compare one part of the coast against another.

Forecast · go/no-go

Wind— Seas—

Your limits for a trip. Green: inside both. Orange: up to 6 kt or 2 ft over. Red: beyond that. Every go/no-go strip and best window uses these.

Basemap

Chart: depths and seamarks. True color: what the satellite saw at this moment — clouds and all — so a hole in the temperature data can be read for what it is. Satellite: a fixed cloud-free mosaic, for an exact coastline. Offline: no network needed.

Contours Detail Calibrate to buoys

Pulls the satellite skin field onto the in-situ buoy water temps. Off by default — the raw field already matches the other services.

Gaps

Fill inpaints cloud holes from the water around them — smooth, and a guess. Show holes colors only water a satellite actually looked at. Single passes always show holes.
